Presume no communication is private in the Internet of Things

During one week in September 2017, I was operating my new vorotrans art movement facebook account, in one week I have made 5000 unknown friends starting from scratch, half of the people were asking to be either extracted from their country, either begging directly for money or indirectly begging for an itunes card, either looking for love on line, either desperately seeking to come to visit me in Montreal, either inviting me to their country, either assuming I was looking for love online, etc. Out of these 5000 international facebook friends, I think I successfully chated with 1000 in that week, I was always thanking everyone for accepting my facebook friendship request using people's first name. But only about 5 out of that thousand called me by my name. I was being always very polite, pushing detailed message, most people would respond with short answers, providing no details, using facebook accounts not really filled with any information, my facebook account was very detailed with exact information. Most people were using smart phones and I was using my desktop computer. I have no idea how facebook algorithms chose to throw these facebook accounts at me. Many accounts were being closed while they were chatting with me, mostly the beggers accounts. I had a few USA military individuals chatting with me. At the end of that week, I even chatted with a woman claiming she was a general in the USA military. By the very end of that week, the facebook site was doing security checks on me, repeatedly, every other hour, it asked me to answer a captcha, sent me a code on my cellphone and asked me to enter it before letting me going further with using facebook. Some facebooker also claimed to be facebook employees. Some were telling me I was chatting so fast, they could not believe it. I did not say, but regardless of the country of origin, name tags, pictograms, I was facebook friend requesting everyone, just like a bot would do. I also enjoyed using google translate on everyone wanting to chat with me, no matter their languages, I was trying to communicate with every one. It has been an education. It was really tough to aggregate so many facebook friends when so many wanted to chat. I can't believe it. Because I was only seeking to push some text and some links to promote my digital art and open source software, I was not seeking for long chat with single individuals at one time. While I never engaged the chat and practically never asked any questions (not to increase the chat time with each), I always politely replied to all these international facebookers questions. Because I am a natural chatterbox. So may facebookers tried to live call me, calls I had always declined respectfully explaining why and also providing my real landline number for them to drop a voice mail if they wanted. I was explaining to them that I would listen their message and might return their call. Many times, the phone rang, but no one ever left a voice mail. At the very end of that first week after my facebook vorotrans account creation, the security code facebook was sending me were not working anymore, I was getting a facebook SMS on my cellphone, entering the code in facebook website, but the facebook website kept rejecting my code, throwing no message of any kind, simply offering me to re-send a code via SMS on my cell but facebook website would never accept the new code without any other notifications of any kind. Did push an email to facebook support on this, but just got an automated reply. So I was finally free of using facebook for business chatting. While it has been a great experience and an education, I was exhausted from chatting 18 hours a day for 7 days in a row. One thing I would message to all smartphone users facebooking is communication between individuals matters. Communication between strangers crossing countries boundaries should matter most when one engage in it. We do not want to pollute the world with twisted, presumed private by some, human to human communications. Presume no communication is private in the Internet of Things.

Fall 2017, North America, birth of a new art movement, the vorotrans art, launched by HumanAware.ORG operating in Montreal, Canada.

Human Aware Corporation was founded as a non-profit organization back on January 1 of year 2000 in Santa Barbara, California.

Armed with 172 .com .net and .org domain names back then, I chose not proceed with the deployment of these websites then.

Only in 2017, I realized the technology I had back then can produce great transparent voronoi diagrams derived from digital content. The vorotrans algorithmic art was born.

My brother and I started Offworld Art and Offworld Software back in 1987 in Boston, Massachusetts. At that time, I thought that the revenues generated by the software I developed would provide funds for creating art. But nowadays, I understand it must be the revenues generated by art that provide funds for creating software. Software development is extremely costly.

I created Offpub Publishing International in Quebec City, Canada back in fall 1989 with the mission of publishing great music compositions. I was seeking to build a catalogue of music works from multiple authors, but between 1989 and 1992, I was exclusively publishing the music works of my brother Carl Poirier.

I had to legally fight for Socan to give us our royalties on time so we could develop our business. I have been very upfront describing my business plan to Socan. In this time frame, at a Socan Toronto meeting, Carl and I had the same voting power as Celine Dion, Gowan, etc. We had the maximum voting power just like these music records selling stars.
But in 1991, Socan retroactively changed its bylaw for distributing royalties and thereby was shutting us down. They were not encouraging the diffusion of experimental music anymore.

My brother and I stopped the production of experimental music concerts.

In summer 1997, my brother came to me asking for the full copyright of his music work I published and promoted back between 1989 and 1992. We were sharing 50/50 the copyright on his music work. When I called Socan to do that transaction of emptying Offpub Publishing's catalog and cancelling my share of the copyright ownership, they said “It does not work that way” and something like “This cannot be done”. I said just do it, give back to the artist his full copyright. I guess my brother was happy.

In summer 1997, Laval University lawyers were also interested to see Offworld Technologies Corporation's source code to see if my voronoi software library had been derived from Dr. Chris Gold code. I had incorporated Offworld Technologies Corporation in 1995 in Ottawa Canada while doing a Ph.D. In Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing at Laval University. So, I opened my source code to the Laval University lawyers and they understood I had developed my voronoi software library independently from Dr. Chris Gold, one of my three doctoral advisors at the time. In fact, my voronoi software library was developed on top of a set of Delaunay related C software functions that Redouane Mahmoudi, from Algeria, freely gave to me. He has enabled Offworld Technologies Corporation to develop its own voronoi software library and I will never thank him enough for that.

In summer 1997, Laval University also kicked me out of the Ph.D. Program, so I sticked to my long time dream of making it to California. Went three weeks to Silicon Valley looking for a job presenting myself as Offworld Technologies Corporation's CEO in my resume. Got approximately 50 interviews and a few job offers but did not yet accept any. Once back in Canada, my phone kept ringing and companies like ESRI and Compact Computers flew me in for interviews. I had to turn their offers down because nor Houston Texas nor Redlands California interested me. Aside from a job, I needed a beach, the ocean, dolphins and palm trees.

In fall 1997, I was so happy to finally discover Santa Barbara and work at ISERA GROUP INC. in Goleta California. Thanks to ESRI who flew me in Southern California. Without ESRI, I would have never found ISERA GROUP INC.

In fall 1997, there was also the mother of my daughter suing me since she heard about the figures I was making in California. I tried to have shared custody but the family court judge ruled against me. The complainant's lawyer was presenting me, Offworld Technologies Corporation's founder, as an eccentric and delusional since I had secured so many different names and trademarks for Offworld Technologies Corporation. For one trademark, I had secure Offworld Virtual Being. The judge, the lawyers and the mother of my daughter did not have faith in Offworld Technologies Corporation. For them, I wanted to be involved in too many types of businesses. Books, Audio, Video, Software, Artificial Intelligence, Mapping for Governments, etc. I guess, a little like Howard Hughes, who wanted to do great Art and great Engineering, or a little like John Nash, who wanted to do great Research, I wanted to do too much too fast. I was fuelling my rocket.

So, I made it to Southern California.

Came back to Canada in June 2001. For 16 years i developed software and gave it for free open source to the world, fuelling my rocket and waiting for the proper timing to re-insert into business.

This summer, I removed a few software libraries and applications from my github account https://github.com/oifii and from my http://www.oifii.org/ns-org/nsd/ website.

This fall, I changed business model, I plan on selling vorotrans art to fund my artificial intelligence software development projects at OIFII.ORG.
With HumanAware.ORG, I want to redistribute significative royalties to individuals, photographs and publishers involved in the digital images and videos from which vorotrans art is derived from.

For decades to come, HumanAware.ORG wants to secure a significative income for individuals involved in the digital images seeding artificial intelligence algorithms.

Vorotrans art is in its infancy stage and in future vorotrans artwork it may not be possible for individuals, photographs and publishers to recognize their work. But vorotrans.org and humanaware.org will make it as their own mission statement to significatively compensate individuals, photographs and publishers (50%/50%).

With Vorotrans art, HumanAware.ORG will encourage individuals, unknown to each other, to collaborate together as well as encourage individuals to respectfully communicate together no matter their culture, belief, race, sexual orientation and state of mind.

ACERCA DE ARTE VOROTRANS

En el arte Vorotrans, sólo los fronteras de la partición espacial se hacen visibles. Dicha partición del espacio en 2D se denomina diagrama de Voronoi. Nombrado después del matemático ruso y ucraniano Georgy Voronoy. Por lo tanto, cada imagen fija de Vorotrans así como cada imagen de video de Vorotrans es un diagrama de Voronoi. El arte Vorotrans no es un arte puramente algorítmico. El arte Vorotrans se genera utilizando un algoritmo alimentado por imagen. Esta imagen surge a través del diagrama de Voronoi como si el diagrama de Voronoi fuera transparente. De ahí el nombre de arte Vorotrans que significa el arte Voronoi transparente.


DECLARACIÓN DEL ARTISTA

Mediante el estudio de sistemas complejos y el desarrollo de software de visión robótica, he sido presentado a muchos algoritmos gráficos de computadora. Al intentar automatizar la interpretación de imágenes de cobertura forestal aerotransportada, usé algoritmos para modelar y representar texturas de imágenes forestales en la computadora. Inspirado por ciertas representaciones de los datos geométricos utilizados en esta ciencia, apliqué estos algoritmos gráficos de computadora en escenas comunes de la planta y del animal para generar el arte digital orgánico de Vorotrans.

En mi arte Vorotrans, quiero que el orgánico se manifieste fuera de lo geométrico. Los movimientos naturales y las formas naturales emanan de las escenas visuales filtradas por los diagramas de Voronoi.

Los diagramas de Voronoi se componen de objetos visuales altamente geométricos. Las escenas comunes de vegetales y animales están compuestas por objetos visuales altamente orgánicos. Al filtrar escenas de plantas y animales con diagramas de Voronoi transparentes, obtenemos la fusión entre lo geométrico y lo orgánico, un arte semi-abstracto generado por ordenador que es visualmente cautivador para el ojo humano.


BIOGRAFÍA

Stephane Poirier es un pionero del arte Vorotrans: arte hecho de diagramas transparentes de Voronoi. Poirier actualmente trabaja como desarrollador de software en OIFII.ORG y es también el fundador de OIFII.ORG. En OIFII.ORG, los diagramas de Voronoi se utilizan para reconocer la textura del bosque de los árboles individuales de los datos aéreos de Lidar, con el fin de automatizar el proceso de desarrollar nuevos mapas forestales para los gobiernos. À PROPOS DE L'ART VOROTRANS

Dans l'Art Vorotrans, seules les frontières de la partition spatiale sont rendues visibles. Un tel partitionnement de l'espace 2-D s'appelle un diagramme de Voronoi. Nommé d'après le mathématicien russe et ukrainien Georgy Voronoy. Par conséquent, chaque image fixe Vorotrans ainsi que chaque image vidéo Vorotrans est un diagramme Voronoi. L'Art Vorotrans n'est pas un art purement algorithmique. L'Art Vorotrans est généré à l'aide d'un algorithme nourri à l'aide d'une image. Cette image émerge à travers le diagramme de Voronoi comme si le diagramme de Voronoi était transparent. D'où l'appellation Art Vorotrans qui signifie Art Voronoi transparent.



DÉCLARATION D'ARTISTE

En étudiant des systèmes complexes et en développant un logiciel de vision robotique, j'ai été introduit à de nombreux algorithmes d'infographie. En essayant d'automatiser l'interprétation des images de couverture forestière aéroportées, j'ai utilisé des algorithmes pour modéliser et représenter des textures d'images forestières dans l'ordinateur. Inspiré par certaines représentations de données géométriques utilisées dans cette science, j'ai appliqué ces algorithmes d'infographie sur des scènes végétales et animales communes afin de générer de l'art numérique Vorotrans organique.

Dans mon Art Vorotrans, je veux que l'organique se manifeste hors du géométrique. Les mouvements naturels et les formes naturelles émanent des scènes visuelles filtrées par les diagrammes de Voronoi.

Les diagrammes de Voronoi sont composés d'objets visuels hautement géométriques. Les scènes végétales et animales communes sont composées d'objets visuels hautement organiques. Lors du filtrage de scènes végétales et animales avec des diagrammes Voronoi transparents, on obtient la fusion entre le géométrique et l'organique, un art semi-abstrait généré par ordinateur qui est captivant visuellement pour l'œil humain.



BIOGRAPHIE

Stephane Poirier est un pionnier de l'Art Vorotrans: l'art réalisé à partir de diagrammes de Voronoi transparents. Poirier travaille actuellement comme développeur de logiciels chez OIFII.ORG et est également le fondateur d'OIFII.ORG. Chez OIFII.ORG, les diagrammes de Voronoi sont utilisés pour la reconnaissance de la texture forestière des arbres individuels à partir des données Lidar aériennes, afin d'automatiser le processus d'élaboration de nouvelles cartes forestières pour les gouvernements. Today, I wish mister Hugh M. Hefner (or his daughter) and my friend Tom could have come to an agreement regarding 1-800-playboy phone number by now.

Last week, I have finally launched an organization I created back on January 1 of year 1999 in order to comply to the US military requirements at the time. Offworld Technologies Corporation I had created back on January 1 of year 1995 in Ottawa Canada was providing US military Schools Scheduling Software Source Code on site in Santa Barbara California for the US military contractor ISERA GROUP. And coming close to end of fiscal year 1998, pressure was made upon me to become an ISERA GROUP employee so I would pay my taxes directly to the IRS in the US. Instead, to fully comply but also to keep my individual freedom, I incorporated NakedSoftware Inc.

NakedSoftware Inc, was incorporated and operating in Santa Barbara for 1 year from January 1 of year 1999 in order to deliver quality source code for the US Military Schools, the Miramar Topgun Air Force Recruit Training School, the Recruit Training Command Great Lakes in Illinois and the Naval Academy.

NakedSoftware Inc. name was inspired from the nakedjuice company since I was drinking these powerful and healthy beverages since 1997 while operating under Offworld Technologies Corporation in Santa Barbara California.

The great ISERA GROUP's COO Joe Grimes found my naming, naked software, quite funny at the time. But after explanations, he understood nakedsoftware meant delivering quality source code directly – an open source software. With ISERA GROUP, I, Canadian Offworld Technologies Corporation founder and US Naked Software Inc. founder was transferring the copyright of the source code directly, no licensing involved. I know, I am a nice guy, :-) !

Only, the US Custom and Border Protection agents, back in 2002, after September 11 of year 2001, were getting quite paranoid and did not let me re-enter the United States anymore. They never told me the real reason for this NO GO in the US, I was banned then. I had a child in California, but that did count. They discovered 172 domains names in my suitcase at the Toronto Airport in March 2002, and did not like it. Border Agents claimed to have the fear that I was operating illegitimate business in the US. Because as Canadian we don't run like the rest of the planet for becoming a US citizen in 4 years, these Border Agents did not get it. They even suspected Naked Software Inc. could be involved in erotic and pornographic industry.

Not, one minute, I ever thought of getting in that industry. But, I must confess, by 2017, these deviated perceptions from US Border Agents had grown on me, I decided, that naked software would not only offer open source to the world but also great fine art artistic nudes as well as eventual video games involving artistic nude.

I know I will get a lot of opposition from females or gay males that will not appreciate the artistic female nude collection of nakedsoftware.org. I don't care, with nakedsoftware.org now days, I am here to give an alternate life to erotic artistic nude photography. I am an emergent algorithmic images and videos producer, one that wants you in for the long run, models, photographs and publishers.
